Jacey, a marketing and events guru, has recently taken the plunge and set up her own business. She’s finding the new challenges exciting, but hadn’t considered the impact working at home would have on her movement and sitting behaviour: “After 30 years working in office environments, changing my routine has been exciting yet challenging. I’ve left an office that encourages movement – standing desks, walking meetings, taking phone calls while to a home office where I sit at my dining room table: a classic example of how the environment impacts our ability to move.
“I am part of an event that aims to engage employers to create a move more culture in their offices. The Workplace Movement Evolution is a 1-day conference where attendees will actively contribute to change while learning and discussing ideas, strategies and resources to improve employee health and increase productivity and focus through incidental movement in the office environment. This will be a movement based conference unlike any other. If you are passionate about moving more for better health we encourage you to join us at the Workplace Movement Evolution on November 23..
